Our theme for 2012 Blue Grass Homecoming Days June 1,2,& 3 is Celebrate Your Favorite Holiday. Blue Grass Homecoming Days has been going on for more years than many of us have even been around Blue Grass and now we all have an opportunity to support our community and to keep with the tradition of “Blue Grass Homecoming Days”. It is a time for family and friends to reconnect and have a great time. For three days in June each year our communities business’, families, friends, and folks from in town all get to gather for our fun festival.
This year we’re excited to have so much support so early. The Blue Grass Community Club is a non-for-profit group so your donations are what make Blue Grass Homecoming Days possible. Your support along with the Kings & Queens contest, who do not need to reside in Blue Grass, has made it possible to have cash raffle prizes. Grand Prize $750.00, 2nd prize $500.00 and 3rd prize $250.00 along with many other donated prizes we have received. It is only March and we already have great prizes ready to go. So far this year we have a nice line up of events. Our early schedule has a 1 Mile Fun Run & 5K race in the planning stages, the band line up is on Friday Blind Alley, Saturday afternoon is Way Back Machines, and Saturday night is Wild Oatz Band , Fireworks on Saturday night @ 9:15 , Horse Shoe/Bag Toss Tournament, Apple Pie Baking Contest, Craft Vendors, Food Vendors, Carnival, and the parade on Sunday.
